Why you can boost your ticket revenue without spending a fortune

This is the quickest and most efficient way to ramp up revenue from tickets.

By Jon Spoelstra

Let’s make something clear right now:

If I were your consultant, and you wanted quick results in selling more tickets, I wouldn’t recommend that you make selling full season tickets as a top priority.  That may sound like blasphemy, but let’s be realistic. Trying to dramatically pump up season ticket sales is not quick and not efficient.  It takes a big financial commitment with a bunch of new staff.

Nope, there is an easier and quicker way of selling tickets than by selling more season tickets.

HERE’S WHAT IS FOR YOU

There would be two areas I would tell you to focus on.  These two areas could deliver the quickest big revenue gains with just a modest financial investment:

1.   Ticket Packages

2.   Group Sales

Yep, the least prestigious of ticket sales—group sales and five game plans—are often the right path for boosting ticket revenue.  With all the teams that I have run or consulted with, I found that the quickest—and clearly the most efficient and most hassle-free way to increase ticket revenue was through groups and cool ticket packages.

Surprisingly, these are usually the two areas that most teams or college athletic departments don’t even think about.  And yet, it's those two areas where teams can make the quickest gains in ticket sales. We have proved this true in all kinds of different markets--big markets, small markets, highly competitive markets, economically depressed markets.

To boost ticket package and group sales you need three things:

1.  Strategy & Tactics.  This is the most important of the three things.  If you don’t have the most precise strategy and tactics, then all efforts are diminished.

Where's the best place to find Strategy & Tactics options?  The Ultimate Toolkit-Groups & Packages.  It’s part video, part workbook, it's all think tank.  None of it is overwhelming; you can go through the Strategy & Tactics portion of The Ultimate Toolkit in a weekend.

The toolkit lays out guidelines, ideas, strategies and options to sell a ton of ticket packages and group ticket packages.  Just think, until now, I’ll bet nobody at your team has probably looked so closely at what really can be done with smaller ticket packages or group ticket sales.  (Strangely, selling a truckload of these smaller ticket packages leads to selling larger ticket packages in the future.)

2.  Your own personal consultant and Lifeline.  You’re not alone in this effort to beef up ticket revenue.  We’re here to help.  When you purchase The Ultimate Toolkit-Groups & Packages you get Steve DeLay as a personal Lifeline to call for help.  You and Steve will have a call every other week for the first three months to help you ramp up and get going in the right direction.  These calls are no additional cost.

 3.  Training for young salespeople.  Once you have chosen your strategy, tactics and ticket products, you will need a sales staff.  Full-time salespeople are terrific, if you can afford them.  If not, we recommend you hire seasonal salespeople, interns or even students to be your group and inside sales people.  (In the Toolkit, we even guide you on how to interview them and how many to hire.)  Hiring interns and/or students is low-cost.  And it’s a great experience for them.

As a bonus, you'll get unlimited access to Group Sales Superstar until January 1, 2018. This is the acclaimed online group sales training course.  Teams spend $297 per salesperson for this online training.  You’ll get unlimited access for your salespeople, interns and more interns, whatever, no matter how many you have.  Take a peek at what this course delivers: http://www.groupsalessuperstar.com/

The upside for you is great.  I know teams that have used The Ultimate Toolkit-Groups & Packages and increased their group sales by over $200,000 in one season and their package sales by even more.

While the upside is great, the cost is very nominal.  The cost is just $2,795.

If you want to discuss how The Ultimate Toolkit-Groups & Packages can work for you, give Steve a call. 702-493-2661 or send him an email at stevedelay@earthlink.net.
